New Highway from Krakow Planned

Earlier this week, the fate of the contract for the building of a stretch of highway between Krakow and Rzeszów was decided. A company called SIAC Construction won the contract for the erection of the 35 km segment.

The contract is estimated to be worth about 1.8 billion złoty, and the company, based in Ireland, will begin work on the motorway next month. The estimated completion date is 2012, just in time for the Euro 2012 football tournament.
