New homes for Krakow hedgehogs

The Green Grzegórski (Zielone Grzegórzki) Association has constructed 30 houses for hedgehogs in their titular district to keep the animals safe and give them spaces to hibernate in urban areas.

The wooden constructions were placed based on reports of local inhabitants about where hedgehogs dwell.

Krakow’s Green Board has been placing similar structure’s around the city for two years and encouraged residents not to clear the ground of fallen leaves which hedgehogs like to use for cover.
