1/3 of Krakow street crossings deemed unsafe

A recent audit by the city of Krakow on its crosswalks has found that nearly a third of them are in need of safety repairs.

The audit examined over 60 pedestrian crossings in Krakow on various types of busy roads without stoplights.

City traffic engineer Łukasz Gryga promised that swift steps would be taken to analyze those in need of improvement and to take necessary steps such as trimming surrounding greenery or better marking the crossings.
