Poland Loses to Brazil… Twice

In the volleyball World League Poland had to suffer two 3-0 defeats against Brazil in Łódź. Both during the Saturday game as well as the Sunday one, the home team didn’t stand a chance against the volleyball violence unleashed by the world’s current number one. On Saturday, Poland lost 25-23, 25-22 and 25-10. A day later quite similar numbers appeared on the scoreboard: 25-19, 25-20 and 25-21. Polish player Michał Ruciak said that the Polish team had a little “thinking to do” in the run-up to next weekend when Venezuela awaits in Wrocław. After that, another set of double confrontations against Finland will follow and decide who will finish second in the group and advance to the quarter final. Currently Poland is third, one point behind Venezuela.
