Professor of European Studies at the University of Oxford and the author of eight books on the political landscape of Europe, Timothy Garton Ash will present a lecture at Krakow’s Jagiellonian University this Friday, the 15th of May.
The lecture, titled “Triumph to crisis? Europe 1989 – 2009” coincides thematically with the anniversary of the first partially free elections of June 1989. As an expert on the region, Garton Ash will undoubtedly touch on the subject of Poland’s evolution over the past 20 years.
The lecture is organized by the demosEUROPA Centre of European Stratedy, Oxford University, the Will Decjusz Society, Chatham House, as well as the Unia&Polska Foundation.
