Time change tonight

Tonight at 2:00 am the clocks will skip an hour ahead to 3:00 am, taking away one hour of sleep. Daylight savings has been implemented in Poland continuously ever since 1977. This year Daylight savings will end on the last Sunday of October. [Onet]

Couple arrested for child negligence

Police arrested a couple last night after it was discovered that their 16-month-old son was left on the stairwell of an apartment building in Podgórze. The couple left the child shortly before 8:00 pm to go to a party, after which the child was found in his stroller by one of the building’s residents after he was crying loudly. [Onet]

Tram line 22 blocks road

For a short time today tram line 22 blocked the way between Tesco (near Kaplanka) and ICE. As a solution during the technical mishap, a temporary replacement bus was available for commuters. [Love Krakow]

Comarch Cracovia, new masters of Poland!

During the 7th final match the newest hockey master was crowned. Comarch Cracovia won against GKS Tychy, winning the title for the 11th time with a score of 2:1. After the holidays they will play with MŚ Dywizji 1A in Katowice on April 23rd. [Love Krakow]
