Bus crashes into tree

Krakow’s public transport provider posted a picture on Facebook of a bus crash last night. A bus on the 215 line crashed into a tree on its route; however, Krakow’s public transportation company has not provided a reason for this as of yet. Some reports speculate that the driver of the bus felt weak, leading to the crash. [Love Krakow]

Woman stops trams

Today at 10:20 am police were called when a passenger on the 52 tram line near Monte Cassino had a moment of rage. Passengers and the driver of the tram failed to put her to ease, after which the police were called. All trams from Monte Cassino to ICE were stopped for 10 minutes until the situation was resolved. The elderly woman could not provide either her name or her date of birth when asked by the police.  [Love Krakow]

Picketers at women’s event

Today the third annual Women’s Congress (original: Kongres Kobiet) took place. The event hosted over 1500 people at the Jagiellonian University’s Auditorium Maximum on Krupnicza Street. The event focused on stereotypes, modern day motherhood, and career building. Picketers against abortion stood outside the event today, while the topic was not mentioned at the event. [Radio Krakow]
