At last, the fence that disfigured the Market Square for nearly three years has disappeared once and for all. The decision to remove it was finally made in mid-June by the Regional Inspectorate for Building Supervision - however the whole debacle surrounding the controversial barrier continues before the court.

It's been almost one month since I last visited the brand-new Jewish Community Centre on Miodowa Street, and I returned to have a much quieter talk with Jonathan Ornstein, the centre's director, and to see what's going on at the centre now that the commotion from the opening has settled a bit.
