One knows one has been to see a truly remarkable piece of theater, though admittedly this happens none too often, because one goes home thinking: "Is it possible that life is so rich, profound and extraordinary?" Leaving the Ludowy Theater staging of "My Brilliant Divorce," a monodrama written by Irish playwright Geraldine Aron and performed in English by Christina Paul-Podleska, one walks out asking oneself: "Is it possible that life is so barren, wretched and superficial?"

Is it possible to depict the life of man in one hour without words? Evidently it is, given that Teatr KTO accomplishes this feat in their performance of "I'll Sell the House in Which I Can Live No More?"

"Pounding Nails in the Floor with My Forehead," reads the press leaflet, "is a daring monodrama based on the monologues of an American playwright [Eric Bogosian],
