I had to go to a polish hospital when I was on holiday and they’ve sent several letters demanding money
Money that I have asked them several times to give me a break down of the charges which they haven’t done! Now they’ve sent more letter with massive interest charges which is ridiculous considering they have not communicated with me
Please advise is possible. Thanks

Comment on Auschwitz “cooling showers” leave visitors steaming by Ella Rose http://www.krakowpost.com/9884/2015/08/auschwitz-cooling-showers-leave-visitors-steaming#comment-1860501 Sat, 12 Jan 2019 18:58:37 +0000 http://www.krakowpost.com/?p=9884#comment-1860501 I think the intent of the museum’s idea of the misters was a great idea. I’ve been to many places where there needed to be misters and weren’t. I do see the arguments of some people, and my argument is that those who worked in Auschwitz concentration camp in the summer didn’t have misters to cool them down. They didn’t have that so why should we if we want to understand what they went through and look back to a time of the Holocaust? The answer is we will never understand what they went through, ever, because something that drastic will never happen again, we hope. People all over the world need to cool down, especially if people are fainting, damaging their health. Everyone remains changed by the experience, no matter if it’s 33′ C heat or -2’C heat, we will remained changed. The museum is trying to do what they can to make sure they still get visitors to see amd try to understand what happened to come during the heat wave. I think, personally, there isn’t a right answer, i think that if the museum didn’t install the misters, many people would be complaining that people are fainting there and concerntrating on the heat, rather than the experience.

Comment on Karol Kot: Krakow’s Teen Vampire by Joanna http://www.krakowpost.com/7904/2014/03/karol-kot-krakows-teen-vampire#comment-1860500 Sat, 12 Jan 2019 12:05:03 +0000 http://www.krakowpost.com/?p=7904#comment-1860500 Very nice and comprehensive article! It is worth adding that an autopsy of the corpse after Kot’s execution revealed a massive tumor in his brain. It is known that brain tumors may completely change one’s personality and inclinations. It cannot be ruled out that it was just bad luck that the guy has never been properly diagnosed, as it might have been the tumor – growing for years – that influenced his behaviour. The tumor would almost for sure kill him eventually, so his fate was doomed this or that way. But maybe the victims could have been saved, if he got any type of treatment.

I visited in january 2017 and the number of smoking hot girls trying to push you to go to bars with them to scam you was unbelievable. 17 degrees farenheit outside and they would be there all night. The strip clubs/bars just change their name every now and again in order to keep the scam alive. Corrupt cops, corruption above the cops, low down people. Ive heard rumors that they are actually ukranian mafia members conducting this and not polish mafia, but who knows. There have been numerous newspaper articles about this in krakow, but nothing happens. The locals in krakow know, but nothing happens. Who knows how many police reports, and nothing happens. What the fek?!

Comment on Scots in Poland, Poles in Scotland by Wilhelm Pilkiewicz http://www.krakowpost.com/7881/2014/03/scots-in-poland-poles-in-scotland#comment-1860496 Mon, 07 Jan 2019 22:01:30 +0000 http://www.krakowpost.com/?p=7881#comment-1860496 I read this article because my DNA test showed 90% East European ancestry, with Russian and West European being most of the rest. I was mystified, however, about my ” 1% British” ancestry. This must surely be Scottish! ( Rather that than English, which rarely measures as DNA anyway, as most English people are Viking, Norman-French or Anglo-Saxon/Germanic etc)

Oh and if you happen to have TV in your room.. It’s most likely PAID ONE 5zl or 2 per hour. Its the most ridiculous thing I have seen sometime there is a TV in common room, this one is free.

Is a beautiful place where you can find a great job.
I am a Greek-Cypriot in Poland and i am living in Warsaw the last 4,5 years. I never regret moving to Poland. In Cyprus i had a good job which i left before i moved here with my wife.
Most Polish people love Greece, because either they used to work there or they are going for holidays very often.
There are thousand of work opportunities where you can advance your knowledge and move your carrier to the next level.
Why not Poland?

Comment on VIDEO: Krakow’s 2018 nativity scene contest by Arthur BREZINSKI http://www.krakowpost.com/19862/2018/12/video-krakows-2018-nativity-scene-contest#comment-1860490 Thu, 27 Dec 2018 23:03:45 +0000 http://www.krakowpost.com/?p=19862#comment-1860490 Bonjour Alice,

Cordialement.
