Dream World (Swiat Marzen) Miniature Park opened last weekend in Inwald, some 60 kilometers from Krakow. Visitors can enjoy a tour around Europe in a few short hours.

The park covers an area of 40,000 square meters, including a miniature park and a green labyrinth. All-in-all this comes to 2,000 square meters of splendid fun for children and adults alike. The park also has a mini-funfair and picnic area where grilled dishes and cold and hot beverages are served.

It?s not as big as mini-Europe in Brussels, but the park has a collection of outstanding miniature models of famous wonders of the world. Among them are: Acropolis, Coliseum, Leaning Tower of Pisa, Statue of Liberty, Great Wall of China, Eiffel Tower, Big Ben, Great Sphinx of Giza and White House.

All the miniatures have been built at a scale of 1:25, with the exception of St. Peter?s Basilica which was constructed at a scale of 1:15. This allows visitors to compare the height of the individual structures. The highest among them is the Eiffel Tower at 15-16 meters.

The time needed to make one miniature model is between 1,000-3,000 hours.

Visitors can walk along the largest miniature at the park -- St. Peter?s Square in Europe ? which is an ideal place for taking family photographs.

?I had doubts in the beginning. I wasn?t sure if it was such a good idea to open this kind of business, but my colleagues showed me other European parks,? Dariusz Maciejczyk, one of park?s four co-owners told Gazeta Wyborcza.

The park plans to construct mini-Poland with rolling fields, rivers and mountains.

Dream World Miniature Park is open Mon-Thurs from 10:00-18:00 and from 10:00-21:00 on the weekends. Entrance for adult is 19 zloty.
