Thief or vegetarian? 19-year-old arrested in north Poland after stealing bundle of cucumbers and cabbage

A 19-year-old thief broke into a food shop last week in Szczecinek in north Poland, local police report. The thief stole a sack of fresh cucumbers and a barrel of sour cabbage. The young man attempted to break into the building through a wooden wall. Due to a slight miscalculation, however, the thief was only get into the storage area, where he found 5kg of cucumbers and 13kg of sour cabbage. When attempting to flee after seizing the vegetables, the young man was caught by security and taken to the police. The net price of the stolen items was 68 zloty. The case is still open and proceedings are underway at the Municipal Police in Szczecinek.
