Over 900 people evacuated from Wieliczka Salt Mine
Last night's strong storms, with winds reaching up to 90 km/hr, resulted in a least one death. A man was killed near Katowice when a tree fell on the car that he was driving.
In addition, over 900 people had to be evacuated from the Wieliczka Salt Mine near Krakow. The storm damaged the local electric grid, which caused the electricity in the mine, a popular tourist attraction, to go out. Residents in the town were left without power due to the storm.
