Polish court ruled man will be sent to Germany
Today, a Polish appeals court ruled that Uri Brodsky, an Israeli man and alleged spy, will be extradited to Germany. There, he will stand trial for his alleged role in the killing of Hamas commander Mahmoud al-Mabhouh in Dubai, which took place in early 2010.
Brodsky has been in detention in Warsaw since June, when he was picked up on a European Arrest Warrant issued by Germany. He is suspected of forging a German passport, which was allegedly used by al-Mabhouh's killers. The German authorities requested the arrest warrant on the charges of espionage and forgery, but the Polish court has only acknowledged the forgery charge.
The suspect is believed to be an agent of Mossad, the Israeli Institute for Intelligence and Special Operations.
