About 500 artists from Catalonia will stop in Krakow 6-8 August to promote Catalonian diversity. Krakow was chosen to host the artists because “it sparked interest among the Catalonian people. Within the European context, Krakow is an important cultural point, we could not omit it,” said Antoni Vinas, chairman of the Adifolk Association.

The festivities will began at Wawel Castle with the play “Legends about Dragons”, then it will move to the Market Square, where the majority of performances will take place. Expect performances of sea songs and folk dances, a parade on ul. Grodzka featuring all of the artists participating in the event, Sardana lessons for Cracovians, and... human castles. Sunday’s closing ceremonies will showcase the Tabalada Infernal drummers, accompanied by fireworks.
