Bronisław Komorowski elected fairly, says Supreme Court
This morning, the highest court in Poland declared that the results of the 4 July presidential election run-off are indeed valid, and Bronisław Komorowski will be the next president of Poland.
The Supreme Court declared that "there are no such errors [during the election] that could affect the outcome of the elections". Now, all that is left is for the Sejm (Parliament) and Senate to ratify the court's decision within seven days. That means that according to Polish law, Bronisław Komorowski will be sworn in as president by 10 August at the latest.
