Court approves extradition to Poland
Anders Hoegstroem, a former neo-Nazi and the man believed to be behind the Auschwitz sign theft, will be extradited to Poland to face trial, the Stockholm district court ruled today.
The 34-year-old Swedish man will most likely appeal the extradition ruling, however. His lawyer, Bjorn Sandin, told reporters that he doesn't think he will have a fair trial in Poland. The Swedish court also specified that if convicted, he would serve the prison sentence in Sweden, not Poland.
