Dragon Theatre – a new experience for English-speakers
For those of you who miss going to the theatre because of the language barrier or for those who want a chance to experience live theatre in English rather than Polish, there’s a great opportunity for an evening out with a difference and a chance to benefit others as well.
On Friday 26 February and Saturday 27th at 8.00pm at Klub Bakalarz on ulica Ingardena 4 Dragon Theatre, a brand new theatre company is making its debut. The show is based on the writing of American Eve Ensler’s The Vagina Monologues and is part of the international V Day campaign to raise awareness and funds for women everywhere who are threatened by violence. Tickets cost 20 złoty full price or 10 złoty for students. Profits go to Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Kobiet (Shelter for Homeless Women) here in Krakow.
The play runs for just over an hour and its all-women international cast will entertain you with some thought provoking ideas about the female part that dare not speak its name until now! It’s a sort of an “everything you were afraid to ask” exposé of women, which no man can afford to miss and which every woman will recognise.
This cabaret style performance will be a relaxed affair with a bar. Tickets can be bought on the door or email crlenscap@gmail to reserve your seats.
