World Bank report says Polish taxation not business friendly

While it's hard to find anyone in the industrialised world who actually enjoys doing their taxes, it's especially common to hear complaints from Polish individuals and business owners about filing taxes in the country. And now their grievances have been confirmed by the World Bank, which ranked Poland as 151st out of 183 countries in terms of ease of paying taxes.

The ranking comes from the Paying Taxes 2010 indicator that was prepared by the World Bank. The report states that Polish companies spend an average of 395 hours (that's 16 and a half days) on their accounting per year. It's no wonder, considering companies have to pay 40 different taxes on average, which consume about 40 percent of the business's profits.
