Man Ray exhibition opening at the Museum of History

On May 17, at 17:00, an exhibition of the famous Man Ray will open at the Museum of the History of Photography.

The exhibition is aptly entitled, ?Man Ray: Magician and Discoverer.?
The exhibited works of Man Ray were made during the most seminal period of his artistic activity for the history of contemporary art.

The exhibition features 40 images from Man Ray?s Archive in Paris.
An additional 1,200 pictures will be available in digital format at the exhibition. These works were created from 1922-1936, a turbulent era in modern photography.

Man Ray was one of the prominent figures in Dadaism, Surrealism and experimental film-making.

This exhibition will allow visitors to take a closer look at the roots of modern and postmodern art. Man Ray is considered to be an outstandingly creative personality and an independent artist with one of the most significant voices in 20th Century art.

The exhibition is open from May 17-June 17.
The exhibition will later tour Poland, including Bydgoszcz, Gdansk, Wroclaw and Warsaw.
