For the first time ever, Krakow is to host a race for members of the city’s business community to raise money for charity.
The inaugural Krakow Business Run will take place on September 16, on the city’s Planty gardens. Money raised will go towards providing help for the Jasiek Mela Beyond Horizons Foundation – particularly to help buy a prosthetic leg for one of the charity’s wards, Justyna Topa.
Starting from 10am, Business Run team captains will be welcomed onto the Business Run stage on the main square, and the race itself will start at 11am. At 1am there will be live music on the stage, from Teddy Junior, followed at 2pm by music from the Curly Heads. Results of the race will be announced at 2.45pm, before Pati Sokol’s concert closes the event.
Some 200 businesses in Krakow have already registered teams for the event, but members of the public can help with the fundraising drive via the Business Run website: krakowbusinessrun.pl.
The event has also received support from Luxoft, Zarzad Infrastruktory Sportowej w Krakowie, the city of Krakow, Radisson Blu hotel, Finder Financials, and UBS.
