A new ecology center is opening Saturday in Krakow, designed to teach children about the local environment.

The Symbiosis Center for Ecological Education features interactive installations such as seeds which visitors can touch and identify, information about the history of seeds and what animals eat them, and listening tubes for learning the calls of animals such as foxes, martens, and blackbirds.

The most popular spot is a den in which a badger (voiced by popular Polish actor Jerzy Stuhr) narrates the soundscape of the forest in darkness.

In summer, visitors will be able to borrow blankets to sit on as well as books about nature. The center has been designed to be accessible for people with disabilities, including blind and visually impaired people.
