On Wednesday, 14 July, the first day of the commemoration of the 600th anniversary of the Battle of Grunwald will take place in Krakow. Starting at 5 pm on Matejki Square, the events will continue into the evening at Wawel Castle.
The ceremony will include the participation of Polish President-elect Bronisław Komorowski and the Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaitė. Before arriving at Wawel, the presidents will lay wreaths on the grave of King Wladysław Jagiełło in the Royal Wawel Cathedral.
