Region: Russia and EU Talk

The European Union and Russia agreed on May 26 2010 to strengthen their co-operation in the fight against organised crime and terrorism, and reiterated their determination to reach an operational agreement between Europol and Russia as soon as possible, which will ensure the adequate level of protection of citizens’ personal data, the Spanish presidency of the EU said in a statement.

The EU and Russia also agreed to strengthen co-operation in the fight against terrorism, especially with regard to processes of radicalisation, recruitment, financing and the protection of critical infrastructures…
