On 3 November, the World Press Photo exhibition will open in Krakow’s Bunkier Sztuki (Bunker of Art) gallery once again. The always anticipated event gathers the world’s top press photographs from the part year, along with their touching and often heart-breaking stories, in one epic exhibition.
This is the 12th year that the Bunkier has hosted the award-winning exhibition, and this year, almost 200 images will be presented. In total, about 5600 photojournalists from 124 countries took part, and these were whittled down to just 62 snappers from 27 nations. In addition, a section highlighting Polish press photography will present the best shots Polish photographers have to offer from the previous year.
The exhibition opens at 3 pm today, and will run until 24 November.
