Warsaw to Get Second Airport

In addition to all of the hotels and stadiums rising in Warsaw in time for the 2012 European Championships, the city has another big project to look forward to: a new airport.

The airport, which will be located in Modlin, around 40 kilometres from the city, will complement the existing Frederick Chopin International Airport, which lies closer to the city but is significantly overcrowded. The 100 million euro project, which was just approved by the Masovian Voivodeship, could be ready as soon as 2010.
