An Animated Summer

Just as the weather begins to resemble a real summer, a new festival has rolled into town to take advantage of the warm nights. The Krakow Summer Animation Days is four days of screenings of interesting and unique animated films from around the world, all outside, and all for free.

The specially constructed screens on the Mały Rynek and Plac Wszystkich Świętych will be showing short animated films that have received various prizes at festivals both in Poland and abroad. And recognising that Krakow in July is awash in tourists, all of the screenings will be bilingual – not that a lack of language comprehension would take away from the visual beauty of most of these films.

The screenings on the Mały Rynek will take place daily from the 14th until the 17th of July, from 9:30 pm until midnight.

A full schedule (in Polish) is available online here.
