During World Youth Day a special six-day ticket will be made available for the price of 15 PLN. From July 26th to July 31st, the ticket will allow passengers to travel within the city, as well as in the metro area. Officials hope that the cheaper ticket price will help residents commute with the restrictions on cars during the time of the event. [LoveKrakow]

Firefighters put out fire on boat

Today near Wawel fighter fighters took out a fire that broke out on a sinking boat. This is one of the training exercises for fighter fighters and police officers leading up to World Youth Day. The training sessions consist of special emergencies or threat suspected to take place during large events, such as World Youth Day. While the city does not expect any threat during the event, they state that these exercises are just a precaution. [LoveKrakow]
