WYD: 700 trains and a visit
World Youth Day organizers finalized a deal today with PKP (Polish State Railways) to deliver 700 extra trains for the July event. Trains from Katowice to Krakow and Rzeszów to Krakow will go four times more often than they currently do. PKP will prepare special tickets for pilgrims for the length of the event.
On Tuesday the Vatican Commission will visit Krakow. The visit is reportedly a formality to secure events and visits during his trip, as World Youth Day officials have not yet received an official schedule of the Pope’s visit. [LoveKrakow, Wyborcza]
Weather this weekend
On Friday residents will experience high temperatures and rain, not just in Krakow but also in all of Poland. After that, though, the weather will get better and the temperature higher, reaching an expected 29 degrees on Sunday. [Gazeta Krakowska]
