New MOCAK exhibitions: “Quotes from the Archive” (“Cytaty z Kolekcji”)
The Museum of Contemporary Art in Krakow (MOCAK) is launching a new series of exhibits centered on one artist and one work of art each month. The format will include materials relating to the creation of the piece of art and the artist. The works will come from the museum’s 4.5 thousand in its archives. The first exhibit will feature Geza Perneczky, a Hungarian photographer. [Onet.pl]
A breath of fresh air in Krakow
Krakow is experiencing some of its best air, with the PM10 at 7 µg/m3 in the city center. Predictions for the next few days show the same: breathable, clean air. Just over a week ago Krakow was experiencing poor air quality of over 150 µg/m3. [LoveKrakow.pl]
More local cases of swine flu
10 people are now reported to have been infected with the AH1N1 virus, better known as Swine Flu. On Sunday 4 new people were diagnosed in Krakow and are being held at the University Hospital where all of them are stable. At the moment the hospital states that they do not see this as an epidemic.
