Smog in Krakow: Public transport free for drivers today
Due to high levels of pollution in the last few days, the city has made public transport (including both trams and buses) free today, but only for some. This will only apply to those with valid vehicle registrations, who will be able to travel with companions for free as well. Man resists routine check: police intervene
On Friday night during a routine vehicle check on Św. Ducha Street, municipal police stopped a 20-year-old man after his attempts to flee. After the man was apprehended it turned out that he did not have a valid driver’s license. The suspect had previously lost his license after an arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs. The second passenger of the vehicle was wanted by the police. [lovekrakow.pl]
Tragedy near Krakow: three bodies found
In the town of Kępie near Krakow, three bodies have been found. Police have confirmed that the ages of the victims are 34, 11, and 7. After the husband of the oldest victim could not reach his wife, he asked a friend to check in on them. At the moment the police cannot confirm anything until autopsies are done; however, currently they suspect the victims died from carbon monoxide poisoning. [onet.pl]
